It is best suited to outdoor activities that require higher levels of exertion and extra breathability is required to help keep you comfortable. The pullover offers a technical fit that provides comfort and breathability whether you are wearing it as a mid-layer or a standalone top. The Patagonia pullover is a simple, adaptable, and versatile fleece. This allows you a good amount of choice when it comes to picking not only the best weight of fleece but also the best style of fleece to suit your outdoor requirements. Types of Fleeces:īoth the R1 and the R2 range of fleeces offer different variations. This makes R2 thicker, heavier, and less breathable than its R1 counterpart. Patagonia R1 uses 100wt fleece whereas Patagonia R2 uses 200wt fleece. In simple terms, the higher the weight of the fleece, the thicker and heavier it will be. When it comes to the grade of fleece, the weight (wt) of the material used in the construction of each item of clothing makes a big difference to the overall performance of the fleece. This increases the amount of warmth the fleece offers the wearer. The R2 is constructed using thicker fleece material and the power grid technology is only on the sides. This allows for high levels of breathability while you are wearing it. For example, the R1 is made with cross-weave power grid technology that covers most of the fleece. That doesn’t mean to say that the R1 won’t keep you warm, it’s just that the R1 and R2 are constructed slightly differently to aid different elements of outdoor life. The biggest difference between Patagonia R1 and R2 is that the R2 is a heavier and warmer fleece compared to the R1. R2 is made using thicker fleece material and the power grid technology is only on the sides so that it increases the amount of warmth it offers. So the R2 is a heavier and warmer fleece, while the R1 is a lighter weight garment. It's interesting, I've seen the durability debated on here before, with wildly different experiences claimed.Quick summary: The name R2 signifies it is made from 200 wt classic Polartec fleece, whereas the R1 is made from 100 wt fabric. Though not sure how I'd get my Nitro in contact with either of those. Can only think of the pieces on my shoe heels for the Dirty Gurl Gaiters, and on the XMid vents. Though didn't have any velcro I recall in my clothing/gear. Though I'm sure there were unseen "microfibres" as in any fabric. I also hand washed my Nitro in light coloured campsite/hotel sinks at least 4 times. ( And my partner will tell you that I'm annoyingly observant/pedantic about things like this that most people aren't interested in!) I often noticed down from our sleeping bag/quilt as well as other debris and human hair etc but never noticed any blue fibres from my Nitro. Each morning when I packed the tent, I usually shook the floor down and emptied crumbs etc. Pulled in and out of pack/stuffsac/pillow bag in tent. Often worn for sleeping in on colder nights as well as on days when needed. Given Polartec have long made efforts at appearing to be green, and knowledge of microfibres shedding has been around longer than Alpha, I would hope they'd not be pushing a fabric on the market that sheds a magnitude more microfibres than a standard microfleece? Not saying I don't believe that Alpha doesn't shed fibres like any other fleece, just that ours don't obviously regularly shed visible fibres in any excess manner, which is what you imply (and obviously experience)? What I mean is that I don't find they obviously shed "just looking at them" But that isn't what we were discussing as such.

The performances at Montage made for a very memorable Saturday night, with Hamwey’s long saxophone solos the true highlight of the evening. Hamwey, who strode to the edge of the stage and leaned directly into the crowd during a long saxophone solo, elicited a roar from the front. The highlight of the night, though, was Emile Hamwey ‘23, who took center stage with huge white shades and a saxophone. USP’s performance included covers of songs like “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and “Suit and Tie” by Justin Timberlake, all arranged to fit their jazz-funk style, before jumping back into some previously-released original songs. They also gave a preview into their next drop, performing some unreleased songs with lead singer Madeleine Vogel ‘22 who read the lyrics from her phone as she danced across the stage. They headlined the performance that evening, blending jazz, funk, and rock influences to produce some pop-funk jams. Honeydü played a few original songs, available to stream on their Bandcamp, but mostly stuck to an assortment of covers, getting the energetic crowd to sing along.įinally, USP, a student-run band composed of mostly UR alumni and current students, took the stage. Their bassist took the focus during their set, setting the crowd ablaze. They commanded the stage, the lead singer jumping around and beckoning the crowd to move closer to the stage. Saturday was Honeydü’s first performance in a while, and they delivered nothing short of a splendid show. It set the stage perfectly for Honeydü’s upbeat performance to follow. They were able to quickly turn things around as they began their soft jazz and heavy bass-influenced pop setlist. Check the artist’s IG, webpages and/or the site you bought the tickets from. Note that while most device screens are small, you still need a high-resolution image: anything up to 2400 x 3840 pixels, depending on the ratio of the book. Vellum checks that your image is the right size and shape for all platforms. You also need a cover image, which needs to be created in external software. My scene breaks were three asterisks centred, and Vellum recognized these, turning them into horizontal lines in iBooks, for example. The text remains fully editable, in case you spot any last-minute typos. That done, I just clicked into each section name and renamed them to end up with this: If if had been a chapter, and you just wanted to lose the numbering, this can be done by selecting the gear menu top-right and unchecking numbered. To persuade it to lose the numbering, you return to the Chapter menu, select Convert to and choose Uncategorised. However, Vellum still thought this was a chapter, and numbered it. Once left with only one ‘chapter’ for the preamble, I renamed it to Preamble. Doing this for each, including the spurious ‘untitled’ breaks in the story itself, took only a minute or so. In this case, I clicked on what it thought was chapter 4, then went to the Chapter menu and selected Merge with Previous Chapter. It picked up the page-breaks in my pre-amble, and decided these were chapters, and also split the story itself into three.įortunately, spurious or missing chapters are easy to fix. In my case, I’d written my technothriller in scenes rather than chapters, so Vellum had few headings to go on. If you have a table of contents, Vellum should recognize this and mirror the structure. Vellum attempts to intelligently parse the file as it is imported. Just open the Vellum app, go to File > Open and select your Word document. I put in a fresh 9V battery from a store that I'm sure has a lot of stock turnover, but the problem occurred again a couple days later. Come back later and everything will work fine. Anyway, you can enter the code, hear the "click-click" that indicates it's unlocking the mechanism (from the outside ), but it doesn't release the lock. I do have some that are cold on both sides & they work fine. By the way, the inside portion of the door latch mechanism resides in a heated building, so it's not entirely cold. Seems it's more affected by cold weather. One of the main ones I use daily gives me some trouble occasionally. I've long been a proponent of the Schlage keypad door lock/levers. In some countries, additional currencies might be enabled for settlement. Remittance to or from countries with foreign exchange control (including, but not limited to, Brazil) is carried out exclusively through authorized channels, pursuant to the legislation applicable in those countries. If the rate is 0.86 EUR per 1 USD at the time of refund, the amount deducted from your account balance is only 51.60 EUR. The customer is always refunded the exact amount they paid and in the currency they paid in, regardless of any rate fluctuations.įor example, if your settlement currency is EUR and you process a 60 USD payment at a rate of 0.88 EUR per 1 USD, the converted amount is 52.80 EUR (excluding the Stripe fee). The amount deducted from your merchant balance depends on the current rate and this amount might be more or less than the original payment. Exchange rates fluctuate with the market, so the rate used during the payment often differs from the rate used when a dispute or refund occurs. If a currency-converted payment is disputed or refunded, the amount you received is converted back to the presentment currency at the current exchange rate. Note that the estimation page shows the baseline exchange rate and excludes the Stripe fees for currency conversion which is incremental to this rate. You can also see the actual exchange rate applied in a transaction through the API or in your Dashboard. You can check the current rate for currency conversions on Stripe using our estimation page. If we do so, we’ll provide additional notice to you. Rarely, Stripe may take other actions to mitigate risk. Stripe does so to mitigate exchange rate risk to you and to Stripe. For example, this can happen if a new exchange rate is mandated by a government or if there is a large discrepancy in rates between our service providers. In certain circumstances, Stripe might apply the rate at which we source the currency owed to you. Currency conversion on Stripe is subject to fees as detailed on our pricing page. In this section, we will develop a dynamic list, which is a data structure whose elements are arranged in a linear sequence. By contrast, a dynamic structure is one that can grow and shrink as needed. 16.1: The Linked List Data Structure As we said, a static data structure is one whose size is fixed during a program’s execution-a static structure’s memory is allocated at compile time. Finally, the binary tree data structure that is used in the Java Collections Framework will be studied briefly. The data structure classes in this library make use of a new Java construct, called generic types. Then the Java Collections Framework implementation of numerous data structures in the java.util package will be described. This chapter describes how to implement a linked list and how to use inheritance to extend the list to implement the stack and queue structures. Some of these structures-linked lists, stacks, queues, binary trees, hash tables-have become classic objects of study in computer science. For more advanced problems, it is often necessary to develop specialized structures to store and manipulate information. These are only two of the many data structures developed by computer scientists. However, unlike arrays, a vector is an example of a dynamic structure-that is, one that can grow and shrink during a program’s execution. Like an array, individual vector elements are accessed by their position. Tatic.) The Vector class from Chapter 9 is another example of a data structure. (This is a different meaning of static than the Java keyword static.) An array is an example of a static structure, because its size is fixed for the duration of the program’s execution. If you remember, an array is an example of a data structure in which all of the data are of the same type or class and in which individual elements are accessed by their position (index or subscript). You are already familiar with one type of data structure-arrays, which we discussed in Chapter 9. \)Ī data structure is used to organize information that a computer can access and process easily and efficiently. That concludes my list of stupid expensive, splurge-worthy coffee tables. It would work in any space though, not just a hypothetical multi-million dollar beach house □ It gives me airy, coastal vibes for sure. I love the thickness of this table and the woven linen texture. The price tag is aggressive, so it will be a while until I can have this table for myself lol. The square waterfall edge combined with the perfect slab of burled wood is to die for. If I had to choose, this is my absolute favorite table of the bunch. I love the natural and intentional feel the knots in this wood create. It also comes in black, white, and gray marble as well. Who doesn’t love marble?! The veining and coloring is perfection. Concrete is one of those materials that’s surprisingly chic. I love the simplicity of this one, and the price tag is actually reasonable compared to the others. Since the table steals the show, I would style it very simply with neutral coffee table books and maybe a candle or two. The black resin, natural bone, and brass details are stunning and the waterfall edge is the perfect cherry on top. Now this table is a SPLURGE, and I can see why. It also comes in black marble, concrete, and glass finishes as well. Talk about legs for days! Obviously the barrel legs on this table steal the show and make this such a fun sculptural piece. I’m really digging square coffee tables at the moment and the burled mappa wood is *chef’s kiss. My goal is to have one of these in my home one day because they are STUNNING, but for now I’ll keep dreaming. Don’t feel bad if you can’t afford any of them (because I can’t either lol). Full disclosure, these tables are an investment. I recently shared a post all about how to style your coffee table, so I wanted to round up my favorite coffee tables in case you’re in the market. |
